Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, occurs when the tendons on the outer part of the elbow become inflamed. This can cause pain with movement and swelling. Tennis is not the only cause for this diagnosis, any repeatitive twisting movement of the wrist like using a screwdriver can result in this injury.
